Meet Our Team

Ben Harris, NSSA®

Financial Advisor, National Social Security Advisor®

Hi. I’m Ben. I have a little under ten years of financial services experience and a genuine passion for the people I serve in my role here at PurposePath. Most recently, I worked as the Financial Advisor on the retirement plan for the county employees of Missouri — a role that deepened my commitment to helping everyday people plan for the future they deserve.

A proud small-town kid, I grew up in Quincy, Illinois and earned my bachelor’s degree in finance from Quincy University. These roots shaped who I am — someone who values straight talk, real relationships, and hard work. Today, I call Chesterfield, Missouri home, where I proudly serve clients across the country.

My approach to financial planning is comprehensive by design. Rather than focusing on a single piece of the puzzle, I work alongside my clients to address every dimension of their financial life — turning complex situations into clear, actionable plans they can actually feel confident about. For me, there’s nothing better than meeting someone new and helping them find clarity in what once felt overwhelming.

Outside of work, you’ll find me spending time with family and friends, cheering on the Illinois Fighting Illini and the St. Louis Cardinals, hunting down a great new restaurant, or humbling myself on the golf course.

I am:

  • Dedicated to helping hard working families retire confidently
  • Passionate about my work and my relationships
  • In love with sports and competition
  • Constantly craving a good steak
  • Always willing to travel to new places
  • Blessed with great parents, an older brother, grandparents, and extended family who support me
  • Regularly looking to improve myself

DISC Profile D/I (Dominance/Influence)

Why is this important for clients?

My ‘D’ style means I’m focused on outcomes. I bring a direct, decisive, and results-oriented mindset to every conversation, helping cut through complexity and keep your financial plan moving forward. I’m not afraid to tackle tough decisions or challenge the status quo when it serves your long-term goals.

Equally important is my ‘I’ style, which shapes how I build relationships. I believe great advising isn’t just about numbers, it’s about people. I prioritize trust, communication, and understanding your story. By creating an open, engaging environment, I help ensure you feel confident, heard, and aligned every step of the way.
